Terms of Service

These terms of service are provided to provide Affirmation’s donors, members, and event attendees with specific information regarding payments made to Affirmation as donations, membership dues, or fees for event attendance.

Payment Processor

Affirmation partners with Stripe for secure billing and payment processing for transactions created or scheduled by users of the Affirmation website. For more information regarding what data is stored by Affirmation or shared with Stripe regarding these transactions, please see our privacy policy.

Donations

As a nonprofit organization, Affirmation accepts donations from foundations, individuals, businesses, and other organizations or entities in support of Affirmation’s mission, objectives, and priorities. Donors may subscribe to automatic payment (auto-pay) of donations either monthly or annually. Donation auto-pay subscriptions may be canceled at any time. Generally, a donation made to Affirmation is considered non-refundable with exceptions made when a donation is the result of a technical error or with exceptional reason. Membership Dues

Like donations, Affirmation accepts membership dues from individuals in support of Affirmation’s mission, objectives, and priorities. The terms and benefits of membership are determined by the Affirmation Board of Directors, charter, and bylaws. Currently, membership dues for Standard Membership in Affirmation are $35 per year paid annually. Dues for Sustaining Membership in Affirmation are $120 per year paid monthly or annually. If paid annually, the term of membership ends a year from the date dues are paid. If paid monthly, the term of membership ends a month from the date dues are paid. Members may subscribe to the automatic payment (auto-pay) of dues. Membership auto-pay subscriptions may be canceled at any time with membership ending based on the date of the payment of membership dues. Generally, membership dues paid to Affirmation are considered non-refundable with exceptions made when the payment is made due to a technical error or with exceptional reason. Event Registration Fees

Affirmation accepts event registration fees to cover the cost of events hosted by Affirmation or its affiliates and otherwise fund Affirmation’s mission, objectives, and priorities. Generally, event registration fees paid to Affirmation are considered non-refundable with exceptions made when the payment is made due to a technical error or with exceptional reason.
