Kate Mower (they/them) is a former Affirmation vice president and current Affirmation historian. They have a PhD in History from the University of California Riverside and hold a postdoctoral position at the University of Utah in the Queering STEM research fellowship program where they are funded to write their book on queering Romanian archaeology. They were a dual-country Fulbright research recipient in Bulgaria and Romania. When they aren’t writing or researching for work, they run the educational account @latterdaylez and participate in local and international activism. They reside in Riverton, Utah and Constanta, Romania.
